A FUNDRAISER TO BENEFIT THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION
Commonwealth Financial Network Fitness Club athletes came together to make a profound difference by logging miles as part of a fundraiser to benefit the American Heart Association (AHA). From February 22 to 26, members of our community walked, ran, skied, swam, biked, and hiked more than 1,445 miles! Our own Emilia White was one of the top six athletes, logging more than 50 miles, which doubled her contribution!
“YOUR NEXT CHAPTER: A WOMAN’S GUIDE TO A SUCCESSFUL RETIREMENT”
Alexandra Armstrong and Mary Donahue recently did a zoom talk about their book “Your Next Chapter: A Woman’s Guide To A Successful Retirement” for the Womens Bar Association of Montgomery County. They are scheduled to do a similar talk to the National Association of Black Women In Construction in May. Prior appearances include the Cosmos Club, Georgetown Village, the Women’s Bar Association of Washington DC as well as the Sisterhood of Temple Beth Sholom in Miami Beach. They have a conversation about the book for about half an hour followed by questions and answers from the audience. If you know of a group who would like them to talk about women and retirement, please contact Alexandra directly at aarmstrong@afmfa.com.
